Domestication means more than just capturing or cultivating something - it is the ontological process that takes place when something is named or taxonomised, a kind of taming procedure which I can relate to animacy. By collecting and analysing six water samples at the nearby lake De Wite Mar, the domineering, codependent, and absurd relationship that people have to nature is highlighted.

Installation
The samples were collected at six different locations, selected with environmental variation in mind. Samples were given their own identity through documentation of their locations, before being removed for later microbial analysis in a lab.
